God has richly blessed my family and me through this church since He led us here in 2009, and I’m humbled and grateful to serve with the music/worship ministry. As a worship team, we recognize that Jesus is our ultimate “worship leader.” We see our role as simply pointing to Him. And as we set our focus on Him, we’re drawn closer to Him and to each other as He faithfully leads us. You can see it on the faces of our church family as we pray, sing and declare truth together. You can hear it in our voices as we offer our hearts to Him. I also hear it in the frequent expressions of our people, sharing how the Lord met with them in the midst of our gatherings. Praise God!

My wife Susan and I met through athletics at the University of Arizona, and have been married since 1995. Through our two kids Lauren and Lane, God has taken us on a parenting adventure that has enriched our lives beyond what we could have imagined. As a family we enjoy being together while doing just about anything, including traveling, hiking, camping, off-roading, and cheering for the Wildcats. Some of my personal interests include graphic design, audio/video production and playing/teaching guitar.

I studied Business Management at the UofA, and worked in sales, marketing and graphic design until joining the staff here. I’ve served in music/worship ministry since I surrendered my heart to God in 1994, and have been learning to lead worship since 1998 (a work in progress). Unlike my academic education, my ministry “training” has been 100% “hands-on” and Spirit-led.

Our Sunday morning gatherings are the highlight of my week, as I sense it is for our entire church family. What a gift it is to gather and offer our hearts to God in worship, singing with passion, enjoying that sense of unity and fellowship. It touches and encourages my heart every time. I pray that the Lord will continue to draw us together in community, and lead us more deeply into worshipping Him in spirit and in truth.
