For Kids & Families

Pick up She Reads Truth Advent Cards to read as a family from our Children's Director, Tracie Munn. These conversational cards will help you countdown to Christmas and explore the Christmas story.


"The Advent Book" by Jack & Kathy Stockman is a bit pricey, but will become a family heirloom that will be treasured year after year. With opening doors that reveal a picture of Christmas with simple text that even your youngest can understand.

For Adults

"Come Let Us Adore Him" by Paul Tripp Advent devotional. This collection of 31 daily devotional readings takes readers through every day of December, seeking to “reactivate” their awe and wonder at the Christmas story.


"Graphed In" by Amy Gannett. This 25-day (5-week) study focuses on exploring the members of Christ’s family tree. By diving deeper into specific names in the genealogy of Jesus—including Jacob, Tamar, Ruth, and Rahab—Grafted In reminds readers of the truth that, “through Jesus Christ, we have been grafted in to the family of God.'


"The First Songs of Christmas: Meditations on Luke 1&2" by Nancy DeMoss Wolgemuth. The first songs of the first Christmas are some of the first words of the New Testament. Depending on how you count them, the first two chapters of the gospel of Luke record six of these songs and this 31 day devotional will explore this.


The Advent of the Lamb of God by Russ Ramsey. Pastor Russ Ramsey narrates anew the greatest story ever told―the true tale of the coming of the Christ. It's more than the story of a baby born in Bethlehem; the story encompasses the whole of the Old Testament and all of human history, unveiling God's long-suffering, loving pursuit of his people.


12 Ways of Christmas by David Jeremiah. This book touches on twelve aspects that make the season more meaningful for everyone: wonder, sacrifice, humility, charity, creativity, simplicity, affection, reflection, giving, children, music, and tradition. They're all perspectives that capture the true spirit of why we celebrate Christmas, and how we can live them out through the next twelve months of the year.
