Sunday, June 21 Worship Service
This Sunday, June 21, we will gather as an online community AND in person for an outdoor service at 6pm at the church. We hope you'll join us in one of those ways. Here's everything you need to be part of Northwest Bible Church this Sunday.
SERMON
This Sunday, Pastor Jeff will continue our teaching series, Prelude to the Kingdom, in Ruth 4. The video sermon will be available here on Sunday morning and he'll preach the same message at our live outdoor service that evening.
JOIN US IN PERSON
If you feel comfortable, we’d love to have you join us on Sunday night for a live, outdoor, in-person worship service. Physical distancing guidelines will be followed. You can read more and reserve your seat by clicking here. Please note: the City of Tucson has mandated that masks must be worn by every person over the age of 2 when in public and we will be asking you to observe that this Sunday. Click here for more information.
WORSHIP
Check out Pastor Bryan's Spotify playlist of all the songs we sing on Sunday mornings by clicking here. This playlist does require downloading the Spotify app.
DISCUSSION QUESTIONS
Here are some discussion questions you can use to talk about the sermon with your friends, family, or connection group.
1) What were some of the twists/turns/setbacks for Ruth and Naomi? What have been some of yours?
2) What are some of the signs of God's sovereign hand of grace in the background of this story? What have been some of yours?
3) What are some of the ways that Boaz images Christ in his redeeming of Ruth and Naomi? (i.e. he gives Ruth a new identity among God's people)
4) What are the 2 things that Ruth Chapter 4 mentions that Christ does for us as redeemer (Ruth 4:15)? How does he do this?
5) What does this story ultimately teach us about our days, experiences, lives in light of eternity?
