WHAT TO EXPECT THIS SUNDAY
Advent is a time of expectant waiting and preparation for the celebration of Jesus’ birth on Christmas. Pastor Lucas will continue in our 'Songs of Advent' series in Luke 1:67-80 and explore the character of Zechariah. We've also shared some additional resources to prepare your hearts for this season at northwestbible.com/christmas. As always, if you are not able to join us in person, then we welcome you at 10:30am via our live stream at northwestbible.com/live. Thank you to each of you who do join us this way and have been connecting in the chat!

CHRISTMAS EVE AT NORTHWEST BIBLE
On Friday, December 24th we will celebrate Christmas Eve with two candlelight services, one at 4 and 5:30pm on our campus. We will offer children's ministry for our babies through five year olds and ask that you let us know how many children will be attending here. This count will allow us to prepare our volunteers well. As you are making your Christmas Eve plans, please consider that our 4pm service will cater best to families with young children and if you are able to attend at 5:30pm that would serve those families well. We will also offer the service via live stream at 5:30pm at northwestbible.com/live.

WORSHIP SERVICES FOR DECEMBER 26TH
On the Sunday after Christmas Day, we will be hosting one worship service at 9am. We will also live stream this service, so you can continue to join us if you are not able to be with us in person.

WORSHIP SERVICES FOR 2022
We will start off the new year with a new service time! We are going to move our 10:30am service to 10:45am. This change will allow our services to have the space necessary for all of the various elements without feeling rushed, it will allow our Children's Ministry to have more time between classes and for adequate check-in, and it will give each of us a bit more time to connect with others between services. This will begin on Sunday, January 2, 2022. If you have any questions or concerns, please let us know here.

--CHRISTMAS GET-TOGETHER
Women of Northwest, we are looking forward to seeing you tomorrow on Friday, December 3rd! We have a beautiful evening of food and encouragement planned for you during this Christmas season. We will meet in the sanctuary from 6-8pm with drinks and dessert provided. You may bring along an appetizer or finger food to share. THANKFUL FOR GIVING TUESDAY
A big thank you to each and every one of you that made contributions to our highlighted ministries for Giving Tuesday! We will be purchasing gift cards and delivering them to Cross Middle School and Harelson Elementary school on Monday, so if you intended to drop off a gift card or make a donation, you can still do so at the Connection Desk on Sunday. These schools, in addition to CRU and our Global Training Network pastors will be richly blessed by your heart to give. Thank you Northwest Bible!

MISSIONS UPDATE:
--Andrew & Shannon Core | Athletes in Action, a ministry of CRU
The Ultimate Training Camp is a high intensity sports camp, designed by Athletes in Action for college and professional athletes. We tackle the issues of how to blend faith and sport together in every aspect. We cover topics like motivation, attitude, focus, leadership, persevering through tough times, and winning & losing.
We are prayerfully reopening our large in-person camps in 2022 after two years of smaller scale and virtual camps. We are planning on two locations next year (Colorado and Minnesota), and working toward relaunching the other two (Ohio and California) that we had before the pandemic.
Pray especially that we will have a good class of interns – we recruit from the students that attended the previous year, so we have to reach back three years to find them this time! As most college athletes graduate in 4 or 5, it’s been challenging. We are hoping for 30-35 interns at each location.
