WHAT TO EXPECT THIS SUNDAY
We look forward to welcoming you back to church this Sunday as we continue in our sermon series, "The Weight of Balance, a study of 1 John". Our children's ministry is available at both services and will no longer require a reservation. Our middle school students continue to gather at 9am in the sanctuary for worship and then move into the youth building for their time of study. We know that this summer will bring opportunities to finally get out and travel, so know that we continue to live stream our service at 10:30am at northwestbible.com/live so you can continue to watch online and dive into 1 John with us no matter where you are this summer.
CREATIVE ARTS MINISTRY UPDATE
This Sunday we welcome guest worship leader, Jared Ulrich to lead us in worship as we continue to search for a full-time Worship Pastor. Jared Ulrich is a pastor and worship leader who grew up in Mesa, Arizona. He earned his B.A. in Biblical Studies at Azusa Pacific University and his M.Div. at Fuller Theological Seminary. He loves playing music, reading, traveling the world and watching sports – especially football. Please give him a warm Northwest Bible welcome this Sunday!
Next Sunday, June 27th, we will have an opportunity to meet a Worship Pastor candidate, Lucas Hattenberger and his family Andrea, Anya (7), Eliza (5), and June (3). Lucas will have the opportunity to lead us in worship and then be available after services for you to welcome him and connect with him and his family. If you have any questions about the process, please let the Worship Pastor Search Team know here.

MISSION HIGHLIGHT: OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD
Recently, NWBC received an Appreciation Award from Samaritan’s Purse recognizing our five years of participation as a drop-off location. As a drop-off location, this means that our church has made available volunteers and space for other local churches to bring their shoeboxes to during National Collection Week. When they arrive with their boxes they are warmly greeted, their boxes are counted and prayed over and then put in cartons and taken to a central drop-off where they are placed on a semi-truck and sent to the Fullerton, CA processing center. Thank you to all of you for making this happen each year! Did you know that NWBC has been collecting shoeboxes for 20 yrs? This demonstrates real commitment on the part of our congregation to bring the Gospel to the children of the world! This year our VBS children donated $1315 towards the Sunday School Packing Party that will be held in the fall. Our kids are fired up about missions!
How could you get involved today? Our Operation Christmas Child volunteers are making jump ropes from strips cut from t-shirts to pack in our boxes this year. If you have any t-shirts that you would like to donate, please click here.
