WHAT TO EXPECT THIS SUNDAY
In our series, The Kingdom, a study through the gospel of Matthew, Jesus began with blessings and then told us what the Kingdom looks like. This Sunday we will be reading Matthew 7:13-29 and this will be the bookend to Jesus' sermon as He gives us warnings. We look forward to seeing you at 9, 10:45am or via the live stream at 10:45am at northwestbible.com/live, Facebook or YouTube.

You will have an opportunity to meet our elders, ask questions and determine if membership is right next step for you. Childcare is available. You can register here to learn more about baptism. Our next baptism is coming up on Sunday, April 24th.
GOOD FRIDAY SERVICE
This year we will celebrate what has come to be called a Tenebrae service on Friday, April 15th at 5:30pm. Tenebrae is a word which means "darkness" or "shadows". Jesus, through his death on the cross, has entered into the darkness that is our sin and death. With this service, we will follow Jesus' journey into darkness through dramatic readings of Jesus' last days from the gospels, surrounded by times of worship. With each reading, the room will become darker, and a lit candle will be extinguished. By the end, the room will be almost completely dark, helping us to imagine Jesus' own experience.
Children are welcome to join us in this service; however, given the focus of this service, use your discretion on what language and imagery your children can handle. There will be children's programming for nursery through 5th grade children for this service and we ask that you register here so that we can adequate volunteers prepared.
EASTER SERVICES
We will be celebrating Easter with two services on our campus and via the live stream at 9 & 10:45am. There will also be an outside overflow area under the patio, if that environment would serve you better. There will be children's ministry available for all ages! You may check-in your preschool through 5th grade children at our check-in desk in front of the children's building. Nursery will be available in the main building close to the sanctuary.
EASTER SUNDAY VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

MISSION UPDATE
--Chris & Alyssa Ghubril, Norah (4), Jude (7 months) | CRU
It's been a busy but exciting semester for us, our students, and our ministry with Cru in southern Arizona and on the west coast! In January, Chris spent 10 days in Spain, equipping and encouraging Cru missionaries serving in the middle east. He learned that several teams there have been using "I Am From" cards, the evangelism and discipleship tool that he created a few years ago. Some of the missionaries shared that the tool opened the door for spiritual conversations in a very spiritually dark place. Chris will be traveling a few more times this spring, visiting teams on the west coast, meeting and caring for new missionaries at Orientation Weekend, and possibly headed overseas again to debrief with a team that is returning to the US soon. He is still figuring out all his new responsibilities in his new role, but he's really enjoying it!
This year, Alyssa has been coaching and discipling two really incredible UArizona students. Brianna and Marcela lead our Destino movement and are capable, wise, and servant-hearted leaders. Both of them are graduating this spring, so much of Alyssa's discipleship has focused on how they can continue to walk with Jesus after college and how He will use them in their future careers. Marcela will be in grad school for accounting, and Brianna has applied to serve with Destino in the Middle East! It has been a delight to get a window into how God is working in their lives.
On Saturday, April 9 at 10am, we will be hosting a brunch here at Northwest Bible Church to share more about what God is doing through Cru in southern Arizona. We'll hear from students, share some of the tools we use to engage in spiritual conversations, and share how you can partner with us. We hope it will be an encouraging time for all who join us. You're invited! If you'd like to join us, please rsvp by emailing Alyssa at alyssa.ghubril@cru.org
If you'd like to receive our monthly updates where we share more about what God is doing in the hearts and lives of college students, you can sign up here.
