WHAT TO EXPECT THIS SUNDAY
This Sunday we will pause our series, The Kingdom, a study in the gospel of Matthew, as we celebrate Palm Sunday and join Jesus on his road to Jerusalem and the cross from Luke 19-20. We look forward to seeing you there at either 9, 10:45am or via the live stream at 10:45am at northwestbible.com/live, Facebook or YouTube.
GOOD FRIDAY SERVICE & PODCAST
This year we will celebrate what has come to be called a Tenebrae service on Friday, April 15th at 5:30pm. To hear more from our pastors on the theology of Good Friday, check out our latest podcast on Apple Podcasts, Spotify or northwestbible.com coming to you later today.
Children are welcome to join us in this service; however, given the focus of this service, use your discretion on what language and imagery your children can handle. There will be children's programming for nursery through 5th grade children for this service and we ask that you register here by Sunday, April 10th so that we can have adequate volunteers prepared.
EASTER SERVICES
We will be celebrating Easter with two services on our campus and via the live stream at 9 & 10:45am. There will also be an outside overflow area under the patio, if that environment would serve you better. There will be children's ministry available for all ages! You may check-in your preschool through 5th grade children at our check-in desk in front of the children's building. Nursery will be available in the main building close to the sanctuary. We will have some delicious treats after each service to create an atmosphere to connect with our guests, friends and family that we have invited to join us.
EASTER SUNDAY VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
Easter Sunday brings new faces and families and opportunities to make them feel welcome and have a good experience on our campus. If you'd be willing to provide that experience by attending one service and volunteering at the other, check out the various ways that you can contribute here.
MEMBERSHIP AT NWBC
Join us for dinner and conversation on Tuesday, April 19th at 5:30pm to learn what it means to be a member at Northwest Bible. Or even if you are already a member and would like to refresh your commitment and listen in on the vision again, you are welcome to join us. You will have an opportunity to meet our elders, ask questions and determine if membership is the right next step for you. Childcare is available. Let us know that you will be joining us by registering here.
BAPTISM
Have you or someone you know decided to put their faith in Jesus? Are you ready to get baptized? Or maybe you have a few questions about baptism? In any of these cases, we'd love to hear from you! You can register here to learn more about baptism. Our next baptism is coming up on Sunday, April 24th.
FAMILY SUMMIT
On Friday, May 6th from 6-8pm we will host our second family summit! This summit is for our entire church family that will equip us to disciple the next generation in our homes and at church. In this second quarter we will identify practical ways to disciple our kids to shape their hearts and character, opposed to modifying their behavior and actions. Our children will have a fun night as knights and princesses with rotating stations of activities and pizza together. And our students will step into opportunities to serve that evening. It's going to be an amazing night of focusing on our potential influences on families, both our own and our church family. Mark your calendars and get registered here.
WOMEN'S MINISTRY
--LIFEWAY SIMULCAST
Registration is open and space is limited, so let us know that you are coming here! We will be hosting the Lifeway Simulcast 2022 from our sanctuary on Saturday, April 30th from 9-5pm. We will provide food and drinks for the day and this high-energy virtual experience will deepen your personal relationship with Jesus while nurturing the bonds with the women at your side. Come with your connection group, invite a new friend and know that you will be blessed investing your time together focused on Jesus through teaching, worship, and fellowship. For more information and details visit northwestbible.com/women.
CHILDREN'S MINISTRY
--RESURRECTION ROLLS
In preparation for Easter, each family in our Children's Ministry will receive a devotion and bag to create resurrection rolls together. This is a great way to help connect your children to the Easter story. Pick yours up at the check-in desk this Sunday.
--VBS REGISTRATION IS OPEN
Our children and our VBS volunteers are in for a wet and wild VBS experience this year with "Make Waves"! Kids will learn that what you do today can change the world around you. When you put your trust in Jesus, you can "make waves" because of His spirit living inside you. Our VBS is a free program open to children who are completing kindergarten through 5th grade. We will host VBS on our campus from Tuesday, May 31st through Friday, June 3rd. Get all the details and register your children and/or register for a fun role as a volunteer in this wet and wild adventure at northwestbible.com/vbs.

--CROWDER AT PIMA COUNTRY FAIR
On Wednesday, April 27th at 4pm our students will head out to the Pima Country Fair to take in the sights and sounds of the fairgrounds together and then wrap up the night worshipping with Crowder. The show is included with the fair admissions. We will need adult drivers to transport our students, so please email Pastor Joel if you are interested and available.
MISSION UPDATE
--Andrew & Shannon Core | Athletes in Action
Less than two months to go before the Ultimate Training Camp starts! We have a little over 150 students signed up so far, which is on pace from previous years and about half of what we are hoping and praying for. Our big concern this year was how many interns would join us - a majority of the students who joined us at the last camps in 2019 have now graduated. I'm thrilled to report that we have 38 who have applied and been accepted!
Interns are athletes from previous years who return to help run the camp and are invaluable; we couldn’t do what we do without them. But the reason we get excited about interns is because they are our most productive recruiting pool for new staff - dozens have joined us in the past few years. Pray that these interns at the two camps we are hosting this year (Colorado and Twin Cities) will follow through on their commitment and that this summer will be a fruitful time of ministry for them and for us.
