WHAT TO EXPECT THIS SUNDAY
This Sunday we will have the joy of celebrating baptism in our 9am service! We will also continue to understand at a deeper level, 'The Kingdom' as we continue to study from the Gospel of Matthew in chapter 5:21-48. We continue to share our service via livestream at 10:45am at northwestbible.com/live.

LENT NIGHT OF WORSHIP
We will prepare our hearts for Easter with a worship focused Lent Service on Wednesday, March 2nd at 5:30pm. This will be a night to reflect on our brokenness, our need of repentance, and the forgiveness that is given at the cross, through songs and scripture. There will be children's classes from birth through 5th grade and you may register for these classes here. All of our students are invited to join us, as there will be no youth group that evening. If you have questions or are curious about what to expect at a Lent Service, be sure to subscribe to our podcast, "In the Narthex" on Apple Podcasts or Spotify as we have a new episode this week designed just for those purposes.

IN THE NARTHEX - A PODCAST OF NORTHWEST BIBLE CHURCH
Uploading later today, episode #7, A Conversation About Lent, with Pastor Jeff, Pastor Lucas and Worship Leader Alyssa Ghubril. Head over to northwestbible.com to listen in on this conversation.

Learning to Love the Master focuses your eyes on the specifics of God's involvement in your life and the lives of others; taking you through a process of writing the story of God's presence in your life. This retreat is hosted by Journey Companion Ministries and will be held on March 18-20 at the Holy Trinity Monastery in St. David, Arizona. GIVING UPDATE
--2021 Giving Statements
Thank you for contributing to Northwest Bible Church in 2021! Your contributions allowed us to launch, and relaunch, a lot of really great ministry this year. We hired Lucas Hattenberger as our new Worship Pastor. We started 15 gospel-centered Connection Groups with 2 more coming. We raised up and commissioned a team of Deacons to both serve and strengthen the church. We established 2 groups of future leaders who are being trained and equipped for ministry. We planted 5 new churches in Uganda who we continue to nurture and support. And there are of course many other things that God is accomplishing among us, these are just a few examples. Please know that we are praising God for His provision through you and are looking forward to all that He will continue to do through His church! And if you are having any trouble accessing your 2021 Giving Statement, please click here to request a statement.

--January 2022 Contributions
At this point in our fiscal year we expected to have received $413,342.47 in contributions. We have actually received $369,851.98 in contributions, which is $43,490.49 below expectations. There are three ways to worship with your finances at Northwest Bible. You can give online at our website or the NWBC app, in person in the sanctuary or lobby, or via the mail at 889 W Chapala Drive.

MISSION UPDATE:
--Rod and Marcia Olson - Operation Christmas Child
We are delighted to share that the shoeboxes collected at Northwest Bible were delivered to the Philippines and the Pacific Islands. Samaritan's Purse announced that the Global Shoebox Collection total for 2021 was 10,505,155. Each child who receives a box will receive the Gospel in their own language and have an opportunity to accept Christ and have an offer to attend a 12 week discipleship course. Our church's 193 boxes are part of that total. Many of you built shoeboxes online and to find out where they went you may follow these simple instructions: go to www.samaritanspurse.org and find the heading "what we do" and choose Operation Christmas Child. When the window pops up, choose "Follow Your Box Lookup Tool".

If you have a heart for sharing the Gospel to children all over the world with Operation Christmas Child, NWBC is in need of an Operation Christmas Child Church Project Leader. This is a volunteer position and the commitment of time is greatest during November. Please contact Marcia Olson for more information and to discuss this opportunity.
